What it takes to make e-commerce photos with Jessica Hanlon

Here’s a behind the scenes look at what it takes to create e-commerce photos for your business.

Planning an e-commerce shoot takes time because you have to nail down the look and the feel that the brand is going for. You also need to know which products will be photographed and how it will be styled. Also picking the location for the shoot is important. Where will the photos be taken? In a studio or outdoors?

Getting everyone to be available on the same day is also tricky as there are many people involved with photo shoot. This includes the modes, makeup artist, the photographer and videographer.

You also have to coordinate the schedule for the day so that you make sure that you don’t fall back on time. Staying organized and knowing what will be photographed first to last will help you to plan the day.

Also gathering all of the contracts to ensure that the models have signed the model release allowing you to use their images is a must.

So if you plan to do an e-commerce shoot you need to plan in advance so that you can make sure that everything goes smoothly.
